About the Facilitator
Rebecca Ogle, LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) has been practicing and teaching trauma-informed mindfulness skills for over eight years.
Her therapy clients appreciate her down-to-earth approach to mindfulness.
She is excited to bring her knowledge of mindfulness beyond the therapy room!
What You’ll Learn
Week 1: Introducing Mindfulness
What it is, what it isn’t, how it decreases anxiety, how to practice, and grounding techniques.
Week 2: Breathing Techniques
Learn the science behind the impact of breathing on the nervous system, as well as how to practice diaphragmatic breathing, paced breathing, and more.
Week 3: Body Awareness
Learn how to identify body sensations (also known as introspection) and practice passive and active body scans.
Week 4: Guided Meditation + Visualization
Practice mindfulness using imagery and imagination.
Week 5: Mindfulness in Everyday Life
Learn how to integrate mindful techniques into your daily activities and moments.
Week 6: Review and Reflection
Review all mindfulness skills learned - repetition helps it stick! We will reflect on the group and the progress made as individuals.
